Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026-08-29

By using FreeFaster, you agree to the following terms.

1. Use of the service

  • You may use this service only for lawful purposes.
  • You must not attempt to disrupt, abuse, or misuse the service.

2. Your records

  • FreeFaster stores fasting records and settings in your browser, not in an account on our servers.
  • You retain ownership of the records you create.
  • You are responsible for exporting any backups you want to keep.
  • Clearing browser data or losing access to a device may permanently remove records that have not been exported.

3. Health information

  • FreeFaster is a record-keeping tool, not medical advice or a medical service.
  • The app does not determine whether fasting is appropriate or safe for you.
  • Consult a qualified healthcare professional before fasting if you have questions about your health, take medication, are pregnant or nursing, have a history of disordered eating, or have another condition that fasting may affect.
  • Stop fasting and seek appropriate care if you feel unwell.

4. Availability & Service Level Objectives

No SLA

FreeFaster operates on a best-effort basis. We do not provide any uptime guarantee or service level agreement (SLA).

Aspirational target (SLO)

For internal operational planning only, we aim for an availability of approximately 99.8% measured over a rolling 30-day window. This is an internal target and is not a promise, commitment, or contractual obligation. This is primarily based on our supporting infrastructure platform's historical performance and our own monitoring data.

Scope and measurement

"Availability" means successful HTTP responses from primary user-facing endpoints as measured by external synthetic checks from multiple regions. Measurement methods and windows are for internal monitoring purposes only.

Exclusions

The following are excluded from any internal availability calculations:

  • Scheduled maintenance windows
  • Customer-side misconfiguration
  • Third-party service outages (including upstream hosting providers)
  • Force majeure events
  • Experimental or beta features

No remedies or credits

Because there is no SLA, there are no financial credits, refunds, or other remedies for periods of reduced availability.

Status and incidents

Real-time service status and incident reports are published at status.freefaster.com when available.

5. Changes to the service

  • The service may change, pause, or stop features at any time.
  • We may update these terms as needed.

6. Limitation of liability

  • The service is provided "as is" without warranties.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, the maintainers are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

7. Termination

  • Access may be limited or terminated for misuse, abuse, or violations of these terms.

8. Governing terms

  • If local laws apply mandatory protections, those protections still apply.
  • Otherwise, these terms govern your use of the service.
